Date of establishment: 2016
Location: Loce, Stajerska, Podravje
Winemaker: A few years ago, Jure Brumec (a fourth-generation winemaker) decided to leave the renowned winery where he worked to start his own, called Meum. He mainly grows pinot noir and chardonnay, grapes that the Carthusian monks introduced in this region in the 12th century.
Type: Dry white · 100% chardonnay · 14.5% alcohol
Vinification: Pressing, fermentation and two years ageing in new 300-litre Slovenian oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Aromas of lime, ripe pineapple and delicate notes of wood. Full in the mouth. This wine is only made in exceptional years, such as 2012.
Food pairing: Delicious with fish and poultry dishes with a rich, creamy sauce.
