Primorska is located in the South West of Slovenia, bordering Italy. This wine region is mostly influenced by a Mediterranean climate and is a very interesting wine region. The moderating influence of the Adriatic Sea, the mineral-‐rich soils as well as the bora, is important for these sunny vineyards. The bora is the powerful, cool North East wind that blows through the vines in spring and autumn. It keeps the soil dry ensuring that only the strongest plants thrive. The wines from Primorje are often dry and rich in minerals, with modest acids and subtle aromas.
