Slovenian wines
Paul, Karine and their daughter Eva are the driving force behind “Slovenian wines”.
“We discovered Slovenia a few years ago and it was love at first sight. Slovenia is a beautiful country with a wonderful nature and is more than worth exploring.
We love the hospitality and warmth of the Slovenes and the pride with which they make their wine.
Slovenian culture is a culture of patience, they do not rush anything. They would rather respect their traditions and wait a few years to bring a better wine to the market.
Our love for Slovenia en Slovenian wines
Despite the difficult circumstances in the past, generations of winemakers kept the vineyards in top condition so that the next generation could immediately start working with beautiful fruit, which is something we admire. Our desire is to show the world how determined the Slovenian winemakers are in their pursuit of producing wine!
Throughout Slovenia, respect for nature is the guiding principle. Most winemakers use little or no chemicals in their vineyards and often work with yeasts from their own grapes. There is a minimal intervention in the cellars and the use of sulfite is limited to a minimum. The wines are often not clarified or filtered. This translates into the extremely pure flavours which are typical for Slovenian wines.
