Description
Winery: Blazic
Founded: 1993
Location: Plesivo–Dobrovo, Goriška Brda, Primorska Region
Winemaker: Borut Blažič heads this eponymous winery, located in the far west of Slovenia, on the border with Italy. Nestled between the mountains and the sea, the area offers an ideal environment for producing top-quality grapes.
Most of the vineyards are situated on Slovenian territory, with a small number just across the border in Italy. All Blažič wines are made according to the KOPOP method, an organic agricultural programme supported by the Slovenian government. This means the grapes are grown with the utmost respect for nature. No pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used, and the grapes are harvested by hand.
Wine type: Dry white – 100% Tokaj Friulano (Sauvignonasse) – 13% alcohol
Vinificatie: Na 3 dagen maceratie (schilcontact), persing, filtering en botteling.
Tastingprofiel: Heldere goudkleurige wijn met aroma’s van citroenzeste, florale toetsen en rijp wit fruit zoals witte perzik. A fresh, elegant wine with a lovely finish.
Food pairing: Ideal with white meat, seafood, herb omelette, risotto, or pasta with vegetables.
