Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
Vineyard: south-facing slopes in the higher-elevation part of Brda
Soil: marl (Eocene flysch)
Harvest: hand-harvested, early September
Vinification: 24 hours of cold maceration. After pressing, fermentation in barrels made from five different wood types (oak, mulberry, wild cherry, ash, and acacia) for 12 months. After bottling, a minimum of 24 months of bottle aging.
Tasting notes: straw-yellow color with golden-orange reflections, a complex aroma with a floral opening, pear, peach, pineapple and mango, buttery notes, nuts and toasted seeds, with hints of dried herbs and gentle spice. Harmonious, with layered impressions from the different wood types.
