Winemaker: Bjana is named after the village of Biljana in the west of Slovenia, where this family winery is located. The wines of this estate, which is run by Miran Sirk, age in the completely restored Chateau Dorisce, one of the oldest wine cellars in the region which is also a popular tourist attraction.
Type: Sparkling méthode traditionnelle · 20% rebula, 80% pinot noir · 12.5% alcohol
Vinification: This sparkling wine is made in accordance with the méthode traditionnelle and spends at least 24 months sur lattes.
Tasting notes: A sparkling wine with plenty of character, with elegant fresh, fruity aromas and lovely acidity.
Food pairing: An excellent aperitif, but it also pairs nicely with starters with a little more structure.
