Winemaker: Bjana is named after the village of Biljana in the west of Slovenia, where this family winery is located. The wines of this estate, which is run by Miran Sirk, age in the completely restored Chateau Dorisce, one of the oldest wine cellars in the region which is also a popular tourist attraction.
Type: Sparkling méthode traditionnelle · chardonnay and at least 20% rebula · 12% alcohol
Vinification: This sparkling wine is made in accordance with the méthode traditionnelle and spends at least 24 months sur lattes.
Tasting notes: A fresh, fruity sparkling wine with a hint of more mature apple. Balanced mouthfeel and nice acidity.
Food pairing: Ideal as an aperitif but works equally well with a light starter or a salad.
