Description
Appellation: Brda, Primorska
Grape varieties: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot
Tasting notes: deep ruby-red color with aromas of violets, ripe red fruit, pepper, leather, tobacco, vanilla and graphite. On the palate, notes of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and cranberry are complemented by herbs and spices. Rounded tannins and fresh acidity provide structure and aging potential.
Food pairing: roast beef, grilled lamb, goat and game stews
Vinification: 6 months of maceration in amphora, followed by pressing and 18 months of aging in barriques. After filtration and bottling, the wine is aged for at least another year in the cellar.
