Description
Winery: Korenika & Moskon (Demeter, vegan)
Date of establishment: 1984
Location: Izola, Istria, Primorska
Winemaker: In 1984, Miran Korenika and Ignac Moskon decided to revive the Slovenian wine tradition by establishing their own, eponymous winery. They started bottling wine here under their own name in 1990. Nowadays the winery is run by Miran’s son, Matej Korenika. The vineyard’s unique hillside location overlooking the sea and the salt pans of Secovlje creates a unique selection of wines. Korenika & Moskon applies the prestigious Demeter guidelines, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, meaning their biodynamic wines are made with respect for the environment and animal welfare.
Type: Dry red · 100% refosk · 14% alcohol

Tasting notes: Dark, deep red wine with purple hues. Aromas of blackberry and blueberry. Impressions of pepper, thyme and brushwood. A balanced finish that packs a punch.
